Ok, well lancaster quoted me:

£860 for my 1989 JaguarSport XJR with Janspeed twin turbo conversion.

This was fully comp, with the momo alloys declared, agreed value and a limited mileage of 10k miles!

Im 26yo and a male!

Really can not see how anybody could beat that.

Lancaster also just quoted me £318 fully comp my JaguarSport XJR3.6A with a limitednmileage of 6k, for SDP and commuting, which again for a 26 yo male is quite damned good!

We are the new breed of jag owners!

I'd be tempted to try lancaster anyway, they only say you have to be over 21.

Their online quote was £680, but on the phone he knocked it down to £318

have to say, I was a Footman James man from 1981, my Triumph Vitesse was the first agreed value they did way back then, to about three years ago until the service levels fell through the floor, I moved to Peter James , who is the James of FJ, tremendous service levels, they know who I am, what I do, its all the old good staff fro FJ that moved round the corner!!, I pay a tad over £700.00 per annum for my lot, some garaged, TD14, fairly low risk, and a huge 55 years of life has passed me by, this is agreed value on all cars, no limit on any car or total mileage, me and the War Office, who is EVEN older to drive, driving any other cars is included, and change of vehicle is just 15.00 a time, plus any addition in value, in my eyes, BARGAIN!!

But oh to be 20 something again, you know the, if I knew then what I know now stuff!!!

Woooooooooo

After seeing what a few people on here have said about Lancaster insurance I thought I would give them a try....

WELL OVER DOUBLE WHAT ADRIAN FLUX WANT!!!! :o :o :o

It must specialise with lads. Although their quoting thing is all cack, the guy on the phone was like "Is it an XJ6 1990 4.ol or a Sovereign 1990 4.0l"
And yet when I said beforehand it was an XJ40, the XJ40 on their system is only a 3.6!!!

Think I will stick to AF, yet again they seem to be doing me a good renewal, dont think I have ever renewed before as I always end up with higher quotes in the second term so I have moved on...thanks AF anyway!! Even with another NCB under my belt and a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm all the other insurers are taking the mick with their prices!! I dont see why WE all have to pay for all those who cant be bothered to pay for their own insurance....
