My XJR6 Manual for sale - good home needed

Hello All, Unfortunately I haven't been able to join in on the web site over the last year due to a new job which seems to be taking up all of my time. It is also the same reason why I can't find a way of keeping my beloved XJR6. I have kept her in dry store for the last year but that is no longer p...

Re: Few issues with Coils and Manifolds and rough idle

It might be worth moving all three coils from front of engine to back and seeing if the problem moves with them. If you can check the readings from the separate oxygen sensors. If it does the problem might be one or two of the coils. Second hand they are approx £10, new approx £27, manageable if you...

Re: XJR6 Drivers Seat repair

Just back from the trimmers and have now installed the seat. I am really pleased with the job. The leather grain is a good match, the stitching is neat and the colour is good enough so colouring it to match at a later stage won't be a problem. £80 all in. They have offered to clean and re-colour fro...

Re: XJR6 exhaust manifolds

I know several people that have had st/st manifolds made. Andy has a set on his car (or cars). But not cheap. On the later XJR6 (and possibly later X300) there is an air recirculation system fitted to the manifolds. I think the later manifold can be used on an earlier car if you blank off the holes....

Re: XJR6 Drivers Seat repair

My drivers side seat bolster is just a bad. Yesterday I took the seat out and left it with a local (Essex) trimmers so they could replace the same panel as yours. I will pick it up today. The colour match won't be perfect but it should be close. Fingers crossed they do a good job. Later in the year ...

Re: AirCon story

My a/c wasn't as cold as I wanted so in preparation for the family holiday to cornwall at the end of last month I had the system checked out. £300 later I am now the proud owner of a new condenser, dryer and a regas. I could hardly afford the holiday after that. Thankfully its really cold now. Hopef...

Good to hear that your still having fun with that incredible car. It sounds like it was running a little off before all the work was done.

Re: EBAY et al log

The turquoise colour was the launch colour for the X300 sport and XJR range that is why you see so many of those models in that colour. However the colour has proved less popular on the second hand market. As for the car being over priced, naturally colour and condition are overriding factors but yo...
