Re: Asymmetric steering/suspension

Thanks for the link, that was a lot better than in Greek... The upper fulcrum axle on the old front axle is a separate part bolted to the subframe and not integral as on XJ40. That makes camber adjustable by using shims. https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/part/id/C03.900.90057.9005...

Re: Knock sensor

AJ16 defo has them, would have to do some archive searching myself to see whether that also counts for ‘our’ AJ6es... How does the Andy Bracket make sense on engines with knock sensor ? I know the bracket exist for X300... The reason I ask is a slightly heated discussion elsewhere about using 100 o...

Knock sensor

Simple question: Do we have one on the AJ6 engine ?
How about AJ16 ? LHE1692AA pops up in searches, but Jaguar lists that code as a blanking plate...

Re: XJ40s in Germany

Ok, you are forgiven. That would be an event for sure. Even if it does take twice as long to arrive. That could make me consider the 2CV. Sounds like if it's faster, and it's a rare experience to meet someone I can race (and win)... Leo It’s not often you could say that? It is actually not th...

Re: XJ40s in Germany

...using an German car? I was actually considering the Lightweight, would be good fun on the Autobahn with its 55 mph (downhill, both tanks full) top speed...  Ok, you are forgiven.
