I think it all comes down to having an honest conversation with the seller; just ask him what repairs were done and when, he might have invoices to back everything up too. When you go and see the car (or any car for that matter), take a torch and wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty, then...

Original boot liner - for sale (collect from Southampton or Windermere)

The original boot liner was mentioned a while ago here on the forum, I have one and I'm not using it, probably never will. It's a pretty bulky thing to keep in the garage - hence why it's for sale. If anyone is interested, make me an offer. Thought I'd offer it for sale here before I put it on eBay....

The exact same thing happened on me, a couple of years ago whilst on my way to the Ace Cafe meet - Naki came to the rescue. And once on my XJR I noticed the bolt being a bit loose. In both cases I assumed I must not have done them up properly.
