Re: XJ81 Suspension Height

Just been out and measured on the XJR and XJ12. I have the reverse of your measurements on my cars. Both of mine being 65 cm to the wheel arch at the rear and 67 cm at the front give or take a few mm. That's on 16 inch wheels with 225/55 tyres. So it does sound like yours may be sitting high at the ...

Re: V12 RPM

Mine has a cold fast idle of around 1500rpm if I haven't used it for a while. Typically this time of year when Its been dormant over winter. Now I'm starting to use it a bit more, after a week or so it reduces to around 1200.

Came across this on FB and would love to go but sadly I often work Saturday mornings, but I will certainly keep an eye on the FB page for future dates.

Re: L992RVC Moroccan xjr

"New" Andy bracket from Simply Performance has arrived and been installed. The new one has been drilled out to the correct diameter to fit onto the locating sleeves on the timing cover (Thanks for that picture Brakebuster). Though they also unnecessarily inserted new sleeves into the brack...

Re: L992RVC Moroccan xjr

Not much luck indeed. And I haven't mentioned the battery I ordered from Ebay that was listed as suitable for XJ40/XJ81. After a few days it still hadn't arrived so I checked the tracking info and it was delivered and signed for at a house about a half mile away. Luckily I knew the house owner and s...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

Hi Richard Mine had a sneaky coolant leak from under the radiator return hose on the passenger side. I only found it when it became a flood. It was abraded by a jubilee clip in close proximity. Over time it wore through the hose wall. https://www.xj40.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=6881&hilit=l527...

Re: L992RVC Moroccan xjr

20191230_145157.jpg I'd been looking forward to installing my new " Andy bracket". They don't seem particularly easy to get hold of. I ordered mine from Simply Performance. Sadly it didnt fit onto the mounting points of the original CPS bracket. I queried this with Simply Performance and ...

Re: L992RVC Moroccan xjr

It was a Lucas "made in the UK" one. I've replaced it with the same from my spares cache.
