evidently the front part of the pump is more than sufficient. I know, Norman... ;-) I've done two before, one on the Sovereign, one on the Insignia. What sort of a gasket did you fit to that sump Norman? I don't think there suppose to be one, on at least late cars, its all sealed with instant gasket :roll: OOPS seems you are quite right there, thanks very much. If the floodlight used was Halogen then it could certainly get hot enough to melt plastic if close enough. The two fan control system, both fans off below 173 Deg F, one fan on above 186 Deg F and below 200 Deg F, two fans on above 212 Deg F. These temperatures are measured in the radiator which is ...

does anyone know of an alternative source? I might have one for you, Norman. Bought for my stalled X300 project, never fitted. 'Found' it a couple of days ago and still new except for some impeller surface rust... Have fitted an identical one to my MY 94 XJ40 a while ago, so can confirm it fits you...
