Re: Aircon clutch fuse blown

A good way to check for a leak is to pick up a UV LED flashlight - (there are some really good ones on eBay for not too much money) Try to take the car into as close to total darkness as you can and start shining the light into the engine compartment. Shine it along the a/c hoses, ports, unions, co...

Re: DIY Steering Rack Rebuild

Hi, Naki, sorry I took so long to reply. I'm in the USA - Florida. Rebuilt steering racks here run about $150.00 I f can get a used rack and a rebuild kit for good prices I may try to rebuild one. That’s very cheap I think. It would be twice that here. Well worth getting it done, assuming they do a...

Re: Matt Black Rear Number Plate Panel

Apparently still available new!
Maybe they built 200,000 of the parts. Expecting to fit them right until the end, then management changed their mind?

Re: Matt Black Rear Number Plate Panel

Wow! Thanks pimgmx. Those are great photos. Really interesting. I assumed the panel was painted black but from the photo it appears to be an all in one plastic fascia attached to the number plate light surround. I actually think it looks really good. Would love see one in real life again. Anyone kn...

Re: XJS S/C

Looks very good Simon!! I may be wrong, but I dont think it is a legal requirement to have orange side reflectors on a UK registered car.......are these not primarily fitted for the US market? CT 8-) I think they are still orange. But a darker orange. I wonder if a colour chart exists to check if t...

Re: 92 Black Cherry XJR Manual

Also, pleased to report, 500 miles very quickly covered since the MOT, without incident! Considering last year it did 16 Miles’s I think we are doing well. Though as always when you get behind the wheel, you are reminded of the list of standard remedial work required. Still waiting. Rear shock top b...

Re: 92 Black Cherry XJR Manual

A brilliant weekend had by all. Great bunch of enthusiasts, speakers, amazing location. Thanks to Rob Jenner and Letitia for organising it. Despite the iffy weather on the morning, it perked up nicely as we arrived. No chance to drink the bar dry this time, but probably for the best. Let’s hope we d...

Re: No time waster please?

If someone has to put “BARGAIN” in big letters, then it probably is not a bargain at all. That’s for the buyer to decide, not the seller to declare?
