Re: Smokey from one exhaust pipe.

I'd also check the vague possibility that the brake servo (booster) isn't letting brake fluid into the inlet system :?: Though on second thoughts very unlikely with the "Tives" system used on the 40 / 81 :?:

Re: Oil Pressure Sender

I'd give this company a try ..... https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/search/ ... %20sender/ .... and no, it's not likely you'd need the resistor, because as we know this is the smoke and mirrors that gives us the 4 bar reading when using a standard oil pressure switch :?:

Re: Paris

I'm not entirely sure its a matter of "hate" naki_k. Whilst on the "surface" it would seem so, I do wonder whether to any extent, some of these measures are security driven :?: ;)

Re: Car and Classic Adverts

I suppose it's something to do with making the item for sale as appealing as possible ? I've learnt, (it's taken me a few years admittedly) to accentuate the positives and whilst the negatives exist when selling (a car for instance) don't point them out to an interested party (buyer). If the interes...

Re: Engine Oil - Whats best?

Yes, and "ditto" over here too. Cheap and cheerful ... Filters from the local factor "Mann" oil and air ... Mineral 20w 50 for the "aged and mileaged" ... Mrs NMV has a Picanto (?) so its 10 - 15w 40 semi in that, twice a year, March and September which represents less ...

Re: Car and Classic Adverts

No, I'd say the interior is spot on and original (looks a million dollars). I do suspect however, that the vendor has altered their image selection and now shows the offside of the vehicle in shadow ... Possibly to disguise (divert awareness from) the previously discussed issue .................... ;)

Re: eBay motor bin.

Yes very easy on the eye. Ref' those retainers - I'd forget about them and drive off ... hear a "clatter" suddenly remember and spend the rest of the day under whatever front seat retrieving said items. It's one of the advantages of electric seats, up, down, back, forward ... Just squeeze ...

Absolutely spot on, indeed ! And you can't go up ? Though, having now "slept on it" (properly) I'm wondering whether the decimal point might be in the wrong place ? Maybe :?:
