Re: XJ40 4.0 re-birth.

Nice job Gary , i've tried painting large panels on my scrapper and it's not easy , thankfully a machine polish using those 3M cutting polishes made a reasonable job of it , i like the coachline in gold , i think it looks fine , the trick now is keeping it clean ;)

Re: CPS

Yeah the price of a genuine Jaguar sensor is a bit stiff , though when it comes to things like the oxygen sensor i wouldn't buy a cheap replacement , only a genuine one will do for me but i'm not sure about the cps , maybe the cheap pattern ones are good enough ? Might be worth trying considering th...

Re: 94 heater control valve

Re: Anti Lock ECU replacement

Who knows why some are different , there has been mistakes and omissions that we have discovered over the years so the manual is not infallible , i think at the end of the day you have to rely on process of elimination and make an educated guess on some things , i've found though that the Jaguar man...

Re: Paris

Oh i don't know , the '' pea soupers '' were great as a lad , you could get up to all sorts and no one could see , my first years of motoring were complete freedom too , empty roads , no cameras and a white circle with a black line through it meant NO speed limit , park more or less where you like ,...

Re: L399GYP 1993 3.2S

I've been following your build with interest and you're doing a great job for a bloke with just a Haynes manual and a socket set ;) I also think we're living in the last days of large petrol engined motoring , restorations like these are already a niche hobby and will eventually die out as governmen...
