Yes , you are correct in this case , my mistake , it's the Rover that requires oil to be injected in the gaitor , i remember i wasn't keen to do this but i went by the book as always ,

I had a split gaiter and i seem to remember the book saying you were supposed to stick a small amount of fluid in before sealing it up , i re greased the joint and injected a drop with a plastic hypodermic i got off ebay , i'd say you have a small split but not necessarily anything else , i'd take i...

They can fit but as Larry says the steering angle is not as straight , it's not much difference and if everything is just right , position of the subframe and steering column it will work but too much of an angle and you'll feel a tight spot on turning fully , you can easily tell if you have a newer...

Isn't there a pressure relief valve on the front of the compressor which vents excess pressure ? maybe there was a temporary high pressure situation and it vented it'self , i seem to recall this happened to me some time ago yet my system still performs perfectly , i too cleaned all around the area a...
