Re: Bleeding brakes!!!

Update, Well it seems that I mis diagnosed my brake problem. There was no evidence at all of any leaks but the reservoir level did get lower. It seems that dot4 soaks into a packed fine gravel road very quickly and is invisible when it is wet. With the recent good weather the road dried out and ther...

Re: Bleeding brakes!!!

Thanks for your post Aidan, The vacuum bleeding tool I bought is identical to ebay number 223949712886 The idea is you hook it up to the bleed nipple create the vacuum and undo the nipple to let the vacuum drag fluid down the lines. In theory it should work but I think the plastic tube had problems ...

Re: Bleeding brakes!!!

Thanks both of you for your replies. I guess that the eazibleed must work, as I cannot see the braking system to be less "advanced" on an x300 than a 40. I will let you know how I get on. All my attempts today to emulate two person bleeding met with just bubbles again. But I think it's dow...

Re: Bleeding brakes!!!

Thanks for the reply, Tony won't the master cylinder suck back the expelled fluid from the container if you don't tighten the the bleed nipple and release the pedal?

Bleeding brakes!!!

A week before its mot a year ago, my 93 sov had brake failure. Pedal hit the floor and I had to drive the car on the handbrake. The fluid was lower than it should be but not empty. Topped it up and still the pedal sort of went to the floor with only a little bit of resistance. Pumping didn't help as...
