Re: Spotted today

Spotted a Forty on the road this week - first one I've seen on the road in a long time. No details on it unfortunately, it was headed the opposite direction, but looked in very nice condition. Which blue is this? And was this photo taken in Atlanta Paul? If so, it could be car 601651. My descriptio...

Re: XJ40.com merchandise

Does anyone know what Font is used for the forum "XJ40.COM" heading, or is there a computer file of it? I have access to embroidery machines that can copy files onto clothing, bags, etc..

Very nice. How do you like the Penta wheels on it? I love the look. I have a set I'm about to try out on my XJ81 before deciding whether to invest in new tires for them.

Re: V12 front shock absorbers

I had planned to use BIlstein 24-018630 to replace the front shocks on my 94 XJ12 (chassis 682xxx), but at the time I was ordering they were on backorder everywhere. This was over a year ago so they may be easily available now. I ended up using Sachs 230-108 for the front. No complaints so far. I di...

Re: XJ40 4.0 1994 "Joker"

Beautiful. I''ve said this many times before, but I think silver is one of the best XJ40 colors. It's great that it came with a good service history also. I like the Kiwi wheels, but some 16" lattice or 20 spoke wheels would look the business.

Re: eBay motor bin.

Good money for a very nice 1990 Sovereign. Proceeds went to charity, so that could have been a factor in the price, but what appears to be a well preserved example. The only thing i don't like about it is the side rub strips. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-jaguar-sovereign-2/?utm_source=dail...

Spongy brakes and question re:accumulator test

Hello, The brakes on my 1994 XJ12 are a bit spongy, and don't give me a lot of confidence. The car sat (indoors) for a few months while I was working on other projects so I don't know if that has contributed. I'm not getting any warning lights or codes, the fluid level is good and pads have meat on ...

Re: eBay motor bin.

Other side of the pond for most of you, but low mileage 1990 Majestic for sale on bringatrailer.com. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-jaguar-xj6-4/ I'm aware the 1990 Vanden Plas Majestics sent to N. America are quite different than the LWB 93-94 Majestics. This one was on ebay in 2016 with 11...

Re: Kingfisher XJ81 Resurrection

harpersmuse, really fantastic work on the car. I can't imagine the patience some of that took. I've seen your posts on jaguarforums also. Aren't you in Georgia? There's a guy selling a set of refurbished 16x8 lattice wheels locally here if you're looking. I bought a set of Penta wheels from him.
