Re: Parts enquired about so far from JCP

Hi Perhaps a stupid question, but will these headlamps be usable on a LHD car from Norway, or just RHD models from i.e. UK? Reason I ask is that the direction of the lights will not be the same between a LHD and RHD car. And I have no idea whether the direction of ligths are dependent of the headlam...

Body panels - which are different from earlier models?

Hi

I've read that the door panels to the 94 model is different from even 92-93 models. So my question is, are only 94 model body panels usable to 94 model XJ40's? This includes bonnets, front- and rear wings, doors and boot panels.

Re: CD-changer: different cables

For your guidance, if there are someone with same challenge: Alright, according to "discount car stereo" (LINK: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/ALP-Ai-F.html): "...Alpine M-BUS (older) is very slow compared to the new Ai-NET BUS and is one reason M-BUS Radios are not able to control ...

CD-changer: different cables

Hi. By mistake, I bought a second hand original Jaguar cd-changer which turned out to be too new for my XJ40. I have a 94 3.2s, and the "new" cd-changer was made in 98. The only visible difference is as follows: Output cable from my car is a FEMALE 8-din cable, and cable from "new&quo...

Re: Quad relay DBC10009

Hi lads Pardon my ignorance, but I'm both curious and somewhat worried with reagrds of the XJ40 relays. How long may one expect relays to last, and are there some that fail more than others? If a relay should fail in the future and there are no functioning ones which can replace or be used to take p...

Re: Difference between US and european radio codes

Cheers for your inputs - it may seem that there is consenus that the "W" vs "R" won't stop the unit from working. Yeah, it's true about the DAB in Norway - but despite the radio itself now only pick up a few local FM stations, I strive for the car to be as original as possible at...

Difference between US and european radio codes

Hi I might need to replace my radio/cassette player, and as my car is a 94 3.2 S, I need a AJ9200R version. I've seen a similar US version for sale with the code AJ9200W. I can't find much info on google nor this forum that can explain if there is a difference or if it's the same unit. Some guidance...
