Door Handle differences

I recently scored a job lot of 8 door handles, a mixture of front and rears including early and later (1990) tibbe/spindle key fronts. In the fullness of time I'll gumtree the earlier front handles and one or 2 of the rear ones. I've since discovered that for the Tibbe key front door handles there a...

Re: X300 side repeater indicators

As far as I can tell they were Amber only and fitted on the late XJ40's (>687219), X300 and X308 models only.

Part Number is LNA4812AB which is NLA.

Re: DBC 11617

FYI LNA6702AA/AB from the X300 is identical except for having a different mounting clip. Its still available but the price is a bit eye watering.

Watching how you go with interest.

Went through the licensing check ok, only had to tighten front wheel bearings and she passed. Took it to the British Ca...

Re: New member from Australia - Introduction

Hi Trevor A belated welcome from just up the road in Leeming! Blame not logging on here much these days.....and broken email alerts. That’s a pretty tidy example you’ve acquired. Congratulations! Funny thing but headlining is on my list as well, but I need to sort out an aircon compressor seal first...

Re: eBay motor bin.

Its a real problem at present as when Border Force went zero tolerance they didn't establish any guidance as to what procedures or processes to follow to ensure a car could pass inspection. So you could get a car inspected overseas before shipment but they may not accept the inspection when it gets ...

Re: Classified Adverts Down Under

It looks like a decent car by all accounts. Judging by the leather, it must have been imported or very well looked after? Further digging reveals that it received Australia Compliance in late 2009 so its a private import. Decoding the VIN number suggests that its either imported from Hong Kong or J...

Re: Classified Adverts Down Under

The asking price for this one is a bit on the low side, even allowing for the fact it’s a private sale, so it could be a private import. Private imports here always sell at a significant discount. Still it puts the asking price of the XJ81 mentioned by Pim in perspective, eg a tat optimistic :) http...

Re: eBay motor bin.

Replacements required on a yearly basis? Not that often and depends a lot on how much heat and sunlight the car sees. My Discovery only lasted 9 years, Old Range Rover 14 and Lady P at 25 years will be getting her first recovering this year. Interesting. Probably why I had a chap from Australia enq...
