Re: Living with Lady Penelope in the Wild Wild West

I had posted an XJ12 repro condenser source in another thread:
https://www.xj40.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=998442&p=184981#p184981

No need to go through the hassles of having a custom unit made. This one fits and works.

Re: Daimler Double Six - 1993 - J6DXJ

Dear XJ81 friends, it may be poorly advertised, but with a tiny bit of googling ( https://www.google.de/search?q=MMC7390AB ) I found this AC condenser which is a copy of the original: https://www.coolcar-automotive.nl/OEM-nummer-MMC7390AB-Condenser-Jaquar-XJ12-(88-94)_15_67909.html . It is consequen...

Re: Engine vibrating after warm-start

From memory: Should be for the factory fog lights. Since your car doesn't have them, then the connector is open. Check on the right side, you should find another one....

Re: A BAD christmas eve

The upper oil cooler is a standard part. You can find the brand stuff from Setrab (they have a good list with all available sizes) or similar and on e-bay. Just count the rows and measure the thing.

Re: Oil on exhaust manifold?

You will need to check carefully if the oil is indeed coming from the cylinder head gasket. Unfortunately, this would be the easier to fix cause. The oil might also be seeping through the exhaust manifold gasket. Your photograph points in that direction because the oil is accumulating on the lower p...
