Re: Subframes

I'm gearing up to do front and rear subframes as my next Jag job. Normally I'd copy the manufacturer's finish to keep things looking "factory", however I don't want to do this job again soon and know I can improve on the durability lifetime Jag provided. I'm planning to use products from C...

Re: Key fob issue

I heard these fobs can develop problems with the contacts in the button. It might work better when the button is pressed and wiggled slightly.

Re: XJ40 Pick up

The load bay is well behind the rear axle. Putting anything heavy in there would make the car's road behavour rather unpleasant.

Re: Something that caught my attention earlier.

I was a car salesman for just under 20 years........ ;) Main dealer or independant dealer? I'm sure it's individuals who cause the problems but I've met a few, good ones and bad ones. One old boy even told me to keep my Honda Civic and not buy his Golf GTI! The trouble makers stick in the mind and ...

Re: Something that caught my attention earlier.

Online car buying must be a great experience - cut the human interaction out the loop. The worst bit about buying a new car is dealing with the salesman. Some of them seem to have been trained to not to sell a car. VW in particular have an attitude problem (frustrated Audi salesmen?), not to mention...

Re: Oil breather kit

Not that I am aware off. Thing is, I also have an LPG which of course affects the TB too. I saw that which is the reason I asked the question. Anything that affects air flow in the breather pipes would mess up correct functioning of the system. Since Jaguar thought its a good idea to add oil breath...

Re: Oil breather kit

I knew I was missing something! My 94 doesn't have one of those, the hose from the cam cover has a branch down to the intake manifold but the fitting there is just a small length of pipe emerging from the manifold, no bolts etc. This is my engine, you can see the small branch hose that passes down ...
