Re: New lambswool mats fitted

Ahh, they look very nice Vince - would love them for my Daimler one day! When you find your cherry red versions perhaps!

Just got a few other things that have to take priority on mine first!

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

For what it's worth, my XJ12 with a 4/93 build date on the VIN sticker is 682205. So March, 1993 sounds about right for your car. All XJ81s are considered to be 1994 model year in the US for some reason though. Just to add more confusion naturally - the ECU is made in the U.S., whilst the car is as...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

That’s good to know Richard. I haven’t had to do a security ECU yet on these. But it seems any of the electrics on these are liable to soldering issues then? Have you tried a new battery in the Fob? I find they can work much better with a new battery. Also check the contacts are clean. Yes, the sol...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

Just thought I'd add some more info regarding the build/origin of the car. I still don't have an actual build date from Jaguar Heritage, however I did pull the security ECU out of the boot today to try and get the alarm working again. On the ECU were a couple of stickers - as below. https://xj40.rvd...

Re: XJ40 Brunch Mini Meet

Would love to come along to this - but I will be at work unfortunately.

I hope it all goes well and that we manage to get some more of these up and running.

Re: 9th December 1066 Cafe Breakfast

The sun did come out eventually! Bit of a downpour to start us off and nicely soak the car and carpets! But all was well! Nice to meet the the rest of team Walker over a very hearty breakfast and much tea. Once the rain stopped and the sun came out - obligatory photos were taken of the attending car...

Shall we say 11:00 ?

Well we’ll have to fly the flag ourselves!

Suzanne (my wife) will be attending too - as a 1066 Breakfast should never be turned down!

Could we possibly do 1030 though? Got things to do after 1200.

What time works best for you tomorrow Chris?

I’ve tried to get in touch with Luke (Kingfisher), but not had any joy.

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

The info I have ( which could be wrong  ) is that the V12 was introduced December 1992, 1993.25 model year commencing from chassis 673299. 1994 model year was introduced August 1993 just after the annual shutdown ? from Chassis 687219 up to the last car 708757 ( M94 FVC ) produced in May 1994....

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

It’s all interesting stuff! I’ll have to try and find the build date out when I get a chance. I can only assume it’s an early V12 that for some reason was not registered until March 1994. I guess I’ll need a heritage certificate for it then. Know what I’ll be asking for Christmas! Perhaps Jag Herita...
