I enjoyed that video.

Strangely, I had an intermittently failing bulb in one of my reversing lights which lasted quite a while. It took me ages to find it, since the possibility never occurred to me. I didn't think it was possible to have an intermittently failing bulb, until I had one fail like that myself.

It is remarkable how many cars you have found. Where do you get the information from for the search?

It is at the front though of the J-Gate assembly rather than directly underneath it - You don't take the top plate off the J-Gate assembly to get to it, if you see what I mean. IIRC you don't remove the 'plate' bit on the J-Gate (at least not on my '93) - the bulb is not under it but is sited at the front of the J Gate deep down in its own little trough. You do need to remove the ski slope. Replaceing the bulb is quite fiddly. I probably have some photos on my computer som...

That's very unlucky indeed. The rear bumper distortion may be solved by dismantling it and hammering it straight. Many years ago car used to have a distorted rear bumper which sat higher on one side than the other. It annoyed me since it made the car look like it was down on its springs on one side....

That's a lovely looking Jag - you can never beat the original paint. I like the blue lights too!

The XJ40 looks great in white. Long ago I didn't think they did, but I have since changed my mind.
