Re: Rear bumper bolts

If no one has one available, they're still available from Jaguar - BCC8451 or BAC6543 at £2.53+VAT and post. I believe the late bumper mounts can corrode making the bolts difficult to remove, so I hope it doesn't fight you too much. https://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/uk/jaguar-xj6-xj12-parts/exterio...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

I'm surprised by that. Are you sure the brochure wasn't a 1994 model year brochure published in 1993? - The 94MY XJ40 came out part way through 1993, as was Jaguar practice at the time. I have always believed the passenger's airbag was introduced with the 1994 model year changes (the ones with the r...

Re: fuel supply hose ' damper ' ticking

I haven't had this problem with my car, but there is a fair bit written about it over on Jag-lovers, where it is described as the fuel hose damper "Helicopter noise" - putting that into the Jag-lovers (now much better) search function will bring up a nuumber of hits. IIRC, simply replacing...

Re: couple of pics.........

I remember your resto thread for the XJ-S on the Jaguar World forum many years ago. It was a superb thread and a beautiful car.

When you 'mop' the bonnet, how do you deal with the up and down bits pressed into the bonnet? Is there a technique for it?

Re: Air-con rebuild - how does the condenser fit ?

I am sure someone will be along soon who has V12 knowledge but here is what I know. The air con system is stand alone and is not connected to the cooling system. The receiver dryer sits on top of the condenser. Yes remove the slats for better access. Once you remove the radiator/condenser top cover...

That's awful news. I wish her good health and happiness: that's all that matters in the end. Andrea has been greatly valued here and not just for her incredible knowledge.
