They are the same part. If there was a different X300 part ie early and late it would have shown on the JCP page in a chassis number change. Naki has one for sale marked as X300/late XJ40 fitment.

Late ‘40 ie 93/94 and X300 have the same part number MNA4188AA so yes they are interchangeable.

Was going to sort out my oil filter housing today which has sprung a leak. Not sure which bit is leaking so want to make sure I have all the bits I need before I start. There is a special key, on the earlier cars there was one hidden in the overhead console, don’t have a picture available on this phone though.
