Re: Prices

It’d be really interesting to see some price lists for when these were new. There are some photos floating around here, but they’re lost for now. I’d love to know how much my Daimler 4.0 cost new in 1993! Retail price mid 1993 £44,200 :o 6F144226-3274-4652-9041-5AFF7E6079DB.jpeg Pulled this from Yo...

Don’t forget all “meets” under the XJ40.com banner need to be authorised by JR so you are covered by public liability insurance.

I am not familiar with Cult models, it would depend if it could be stripped easily without damage. If it’s not die cast what is it made of ??

Re: Fleet Update(!)

It’s fairly easy once all the plastic is stripped off, paint stripper, sanding, priming, sanding, top coats, although I made an error not lacquering it, the top coats can chip off easily. Maisto are not the best quality models and I had to do a lot of filing to make sure the doors fitted correctly s...

Re: Fleet Update(!)

It’s a Maisto 1:18 scale car, which I converted over winter. 39 pieces of hand cut battenburg :o Stripped to bare metal and repainted, interior recoloured and working light bar fitted. I based it on a still on the road ex Jaguar demonstrator T801BRP, if I can find another one cheap enough I might do...
