Yes I think you are right. Apparently of 83 TWR manuals... 65 LHD and 18 RHD according to Steve at jaguarsport-xjr.com. I've seen another manual selling here. It sold quickly I presume, as the add has disapeared.

Indeed, don't do it. Too many things on the late model rely on constant power - like the adaptive idle speed. They are XJR fog lights, only 91-92 model years had them. Later cars dropped the xjr splitter in favour of the later one which i think was the right move. Mine has that set-up like yours, looks good but it is hard & expensive to get parts for it! I keep a few spares though just incase. ;) Is yo...

I assume that this is simply a cut-off switch that under breaks the battery connection to earth (or the positive pole) so wouldn’t this result in bringing about problems with resetting ECUs, radio code reset and other voltage dependent functions.
