Re: Late '93 Sovereign in NL: the restor(e)(y)

where did you get the alu rear beam from? think i have heard of them but never seen any for sale. is it aftermarket? The beam came -after a long, long search- from Manners, and was covered in Jaguar stickers. Makes me think it's a factory original? Although one of the stickers said 'Made in Sweden'...

Re: the Dutch DD6 Insignia

I've been too busy on the Sov to start work on the DD6, but did find the time to take additional pics... Beautiful weather, but also a good test case: we had a couple of very serious rainstorms the last couple of days but no wet carpet to be found!!! https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak...

Re: Late '93 Sovereign in NL: the restor(e)(y)

The paint didn't arrive in time, I will have to give it a try next weekend or so... But that was no reason to do nothing, though: the to-do list has become shorter again this weekend! I removed rust from all the bumper chrome parts (happy to find rust only on the insides !) and applied a nice...

so you think you have space for 3 jags now Well, there's barely difference between having no space for two and having no space for three... :ugeek: The next one will most likely be something else, though: the missus loves a short-chassis Landy, and I wouldn't mind getting something light, nimble an...

Re: XJ40. COM MEETING 2013 AUGUST 24TH, SEE THE XJ40 V12 COU

well its less than 1 month away, so it will be tight to get a car ready in time?? Exactly, and not much room in the calendar to REALLY work on either the DD6 or the Sov... Frustrating! I just made the painful decision to take a plane, would've loved to come by car, though. :( I'll bring some liquid...

Re: XJ40. COM MEETING 2013 AUGUST 24TH, SEE THE XJ40 V12 COU

It's becoming more and more tempting to join the crowd at Donington. I'm trying to find out how quickly I can have the DD6 serviced (time & space are a bit of an issue), I don't want to run the risk of having a near-unknown car break down on my way to or from the ferry! The worst-case scenario f...
