Re: Centre Blower Vents

I did have the wheezing and click click on mine for a while, but true to the Jaguar tradition it somehow fixed itself. Well hopefully mine will do the same! As with all proper cars - mine seems to be getting better all the time now that's its getting some use. It's covered more miles with me in the...

Re: Centre Blower Vents

Poke them with a long screw driver. Will hopefully release. It's worked on a couple of my cars with the same issue. Use a good torch, so you can see what you are doing inside he vent. Thanks for the tips guys. I tried using a long screwdriver trick. The flaps do move and I can feel the air coming o...

Centre Blower Vents

Since I bought my car around one month ago, the heater/blower system has thankfully been coming back to life. The car has had minimal use for many years - so I think everything had seized up. It's all working now with the exception of the front centre vents. The flaps are not working - so I think th...

Re: Storage Q's

Ok. Thanks for the input guys.
Looks like I won't have any issues just disconnecting the battery in order to preserve its charge.
If resetting the clock and stereo code are the only things that need doing - then that's fine with me!

Storage Q's

Hi all, Due to space issues and work, I'm thinking about putting my car into storage for a few months. The car will undoubtedly be run semi-regularly, but it could sit for up to 3 weeks at a time. I don't have many reservations, other than looking after the electrics. I haven't got a spot for it yet...

Re: Top Gear

I was genuinely interested to see what they might come up with here - but must admit I was left rather disappointed. Chris Evans lost me within about 2 min. I don't mind him on the radio - but I thought thought his frantic imitation of Clarkson style was well off the mark. I also believe this was a ...

Re: New member - hopefully.

One thing I have been impressed with is the insurance for the car. I have it on a classic policy with Peter Best, limited to 3000 miles - no agreed value as yet due to the work required - and that was £106 for the year. My ZT260 is insured with Peter Best and they have always been the best and cheap...

Re: New member - hopefully.

Many thanks for all the links and information guys. Its much appreciated. I'm stuck at work (North Sea) now for the next two weeks - and our internet connections here is terrible. Its just about good enough for email - and that's it. When I get home I shall investigate everything - and then I can ge...

Re: New member - hopefully.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. When I get home I think the first ports of call are going to be a fluid change and clean-up of the transmission connections. Followed by the soldering in the fuse boxes. It'll be good to hopefully clear those up. Then I can look at the brakes and suspensio...

Re: New member - hopefully.

Hello all. Apologies for my absence for the past few days. I have been rather busy. The good news is that I have indeed broken the cardinal sin and gone and bought the first car I looked at. I know, I am a bad person and will probably be punished financially for my sins! However, I (and more importa...
