Re: 16th June - Senlac Classic Car Show, Bodiam East Sussex

Will be excellent to see you there Chris.

I’ll book both of mine and hope for the best!

I’ll message Kingfisher again, but not sure if he’s still active.

I haven’t seen his car for a while.

Re: Jaguars at Brands Hatch

Looks really good guys!

Would have liked to have been there - but sadly work was in the way again!

Re: 40 Main Meet 2019

I'm afraid I can't do the 3rd August as I'm away with work until the 6th.

Sadly I tend to be away at the end/start of most months - so the old breakfast club doesn't really work for me.

It's a shame as I'd really like to attend one of those and see the museum.

Next time perhaps!

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

Could have been sat pride of place in the middle of the showroom for most of that time, waiting for a buyer and helping to tempt less affluent buyers into more reasonably priced variants. Well it's a nice thought that the car could have been a showroom queen for a year! :D But I can't see why the c...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

Its a fair theory on the delay to register the car. You have to assuem that any DD6 ordered was either customer order, or a demo car really. Though surely even demos would be road registered to even be able to go out on the road. Exactly. You'd think a demo would be registered immediately so it cou...

16th June - Senlac Classic Car Show, Bodiam East Sussex

I've just had my invitation to attend the above show again this year. I attended last year with ChrisW and Kingfisher - and it was a great day out. Good one for fathers day.... It's a larger event this year with hopefully 350+ cars. Lots of beer, food, music, kids stuff, arts & crafts etc. Amazi...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

Thought a little update was in order! I now have a heritage certificate for the Daimler. So put put all the guessing to bed - the car was built on the 8th Feb 1993. Interestingly, it was also marked as dispatched to Hatfields Jaguar of Sheffield on the 19th Feb 1993. However, as we know - the car wa...

Re: New lambswool mats fitted

Ahh, they look very nice Vince - would love them for my Daimler one day! When you find your cherry red versions perhaps!

Just got a few other things that have to take priority on mine first!

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

For what it's worth, my XJ12 with a 4/93 build date on the VIN sticker is 682205. So March, 1993 sounds about right for your car. All XJ81s are considered to be 1994 model year in the US for some reason though. Just to add more confusion naturally - the ECU is made in the U.S., whilst the car is as...

Re: 1994 Daimler Double Six

That’s good to know Richard. I haven’t had to do a security ECU yet on these. But it seems any of the electrics on these are liable to soldering issues then? Have you tried a new battery in the Fob? I find they can work much better with a new battery. Also check the contacts are clean. Yes, the sol...
