Re: V12 rear suspension question

Mine is a 68xxxxx Daimler Double Six.
It is still running on SLS, but I've bought the conversion kit from BritishPart to convert it.
The kit came with genuine Jaguar springs and Boge dampers.
The kit is still in a box so I can take a look and see what they've sent me if that would help ?

Re: been polishing

Gorgeous results - but I'm not happy....... This thread and the other on detailing a Bentley interior, is now responsible for a measurable proportion of my life now spent watching YouTube detailing videos. :D I've also thrown out a lot of my old school polishes and buckets etc, and I'm investing in ...

Re: New member - Kingfisher XJ81 in East Sussex

Welcome Gregg There must be something in the water on the South Coast, as I bought my Double Six from 500 miles away unseen too. I've had some fairly unpleasant and expensive discoveries on mine, but damn your A-pillar !! I've got some of these left - where shall I send them :D http://cdn1.cowbird.c...

Re: Daimler Double Six - 1993 - J6DXJ

My mudflaps were letting the side down. I was in two minds to put them back on or not. But the brackets were shot, and even cleaned up they were scruffy https://xj40.rvdz.me/images/60921/60921___5b2558a8ccd83.jpg So I made some new brackets, primed and painted, and painted the rubber flaps with trim...

Re: orbital buffer

Argos do one too - but not tried it

But for that price I might retire my old single action polisher

Re: Daimler Double Six - 1993 - J6DXJ

Well today was MOT day, dropped off at the local garage. After a quick adjustment on the headlamps - it passed :D First MOT with a new/old car is always a bit of a lottery, especially as this is the new style MOT but the to-do list now looks like this Repair as soon as possible (minor defects): Near...

Re: Ratty has a problem

Well done.

At least you found it, I scrapped a car once because it wouldn't run right (Only a Talbot Samba back in the day)
I later found out it should have been fitted with a vented petrol cap - that would have fixed it.

Think of all your work as a big service, and you'll sleep well tonight :D

"Good morning Mr Bond, we've been expecting you, " https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C932456 .............. A whopping 2M :!: But only a replica.........therefore 1M tops. This will matter! Now that Maplin has gone bust, you'll never be able to replace the switches he has used on a 7 fi...

Guido

Many thanks, that is just the thing.

I've emailed them, to see how much it will be shipped to the UK.
