Re: Daimler Double Six - 1993 - J6DXJ

So my collection of air con condensers continues to grow. I bought the kit from FenAir to replace the condenser and dryer. Alas it won't fit  The original has pegs top and bottom, the replacement brackets, but they don't line up with the holes in the bodyshell. The vendor has been helpful, ...

Re: Been there done that

Working A/C - jealous :D

You'll be telling everybody your Daimler Double Six inlet manifold badges are pristine next

Air-con rebuild - how does the condenser fit ?

I've got a bit of time next week, and I really want to get the A/C working in my Double-Six, in preparation for a trip to LeMans Classic in July. I've splashed a little cash on a Groupon voucher for a re-gas at ATS for £29.50. :D But I'm getting ahead of myself, before then I've got to fit a replace...

Re: Rear Diff care

Great. Do you perhaps also have the exact filling capacity at hand so I can order the right number of cans? Are there any differences concerning the accessibilty of the diff between XJ6 and XJ12? Otherwise it sounds pretty DIYable, let the old fluid come out by the lower drain bolt and refill via u...

Re: Daimler Double Six - 1993 - J6DXJ

This was a stoopid liitle project that took way too long, but at least was free  When you fit a modern head unit to an XJ40, the replacement unit ends up being quite deeply recessed into the center console. This makes some of the controls a little hard to operate IMHO https://xj40.rvdz.me/image...

Re: Sun roof switch panel - can get it back in !!

Managed to get that panel back in today.

I ended up flattening and reworking the clips, that gave me the extra few mm I needed to get the panel in place.

Bonkers as it came apart easily enough.
