Thanks for the link, will definitely study it before changing it. All ready changed the jurid rubber and still the lurch. Even if the rear end renovation doesn't solve the issue I'm glad I did it. Just ordered the drive shaft centre bearing so will change it before the back end goes on. Looking forward to the fun and games trying to put it back up :shock:

I have something like this on mine, although probably not as bad. I think I'll need to take that coupling off on mine :roll: How was yours when you replaced it?

The old jurid looked worn and was more plyable than the new one. When you do it mark everything with tipex to make sure it all goes back aligned. I haven't driven my car for about 6 months but I'll be interested to see if it has gone, fingers crossed.

Great work on the diff overhaul.
It’s certainly more satisfying to put back shiny black parts, rather than crusty brown parts.
Which coating option did you use? Powder coating?

Cheers Naki. Went for a home / hobby standard of renovation and sanded surfaces with flap wheel on air tool. Prep using POR15 etch and then brush on using POR15 satin paint. Unfortunately the UV light affects POR15 so they recommend top coating. I top coated with hammerite smooth paint. It is a nice, tough finish that was the best I could do at home and on a budget. I don't particularly like hammerite but it was available and cheap. Can't speak highly enough of POR15. Great stuff, self smoothing and covers great. Highly recommended.
