Sorry for the lack of update
been a busy couple of weeks.
Right then, so after new shocks, new shock bushes, subframe removal, strip and rebuild including new universal joints on drives shaft, half shafts, new jurid, new output shaft bearings and new subframe mounts, new discs and pads, new drive shaft centre bearing, wheel bearing checked and fine. New diff oil etc........the lurch is still there
it is a little better and I mean a little but at least from the gearbox back is A1.
The cars MOT ran out during the rebuild etc so had to take her this week. Result....pass no advisories, which is great. MOT guy is a great bloke and he told me he actually looks forward to seeing my car and wondered where I was as it was late and the MOT had expired.
I'm going to run it for a few weeks as is and then go back to the gearbox and it's fluid etc. I have tried the fluid to the max level when hot and I've also removed oil when cold and set the level to the cold level and still the lurch! I've also tried the gearbox cable adjustment in the past but will go back to this. I have also replaced the gear box mount ( which was crumbled). Anyway, 10 out of 10 for effort, 2 out of 10 for results
