So make sure the Diff oil you get is rated for LSD.

Do all Daimlers have LSD? I did not know that.

Export "Daimlers" (VDP's) don't have limited slip diffs, at least mine doesn't.

Only battery under bonnet versions.
Battery in boot. Ford decided to make it a cost option (4.0).

It’s possible it might differ for US/ Canada spec? I haven’t really looked at those in detail.

The new boot plug arrived this morning but unfortunately, the cars still not back. The garage are slowly working through things but, each time they sort one thing out, it seems to highlight another.
I was expecting something like this but, I just want to get in it and drive!!

Let’s hope it doesn’t turn into a full nut and bolt restoration. Certain faults don’t always show themselves until you start digging/ when you know where to look.

It looks like I need a new brake accumulator; all the other issues have been sorted and it appears that the ABS warning light is linked to low pressure under braking?
Logic says buy new? If I buy second hand, there’s no guarantee I won’t be in position in 6 months?
Are they still available from Jaguar specialists and are they OEM quality? If not, are the pattern ones only good?

They should be easy enough to find new, as they are generic/ not Jag specific (used on many GM cars apparently?).
With the part number as usual is the bar. Do you know how to search the Jaguar classic site?

No, I’ve never used it before, is there a knack to it?
My first port of call would have been main dealer but, I’m guessing that I may be wasting my time?

P38 accumulator sphere will fit fine and is just slightly higher capacity(0.32l) too. Plenty of them available and not as expensive as the Jag ones.
1997, 4.0 LWB X300 - Unlucky car but still a daily driver.

1994, 3.2S X300 - Accident damaged, October 2015. Gone!
1994, 3.2S XJ40 - Long gone.
