I have an S-Type R these days, and what a great car it is!
However the R's are worth more now then when I purchased it a couple of years ago.

It's a 2.5 V6 petrol, manual of course!
Seems to drive fine, but has got an ABS fault showing.
The guy I bought it of virtually threw it at me as he'd been let down by two previous 'buyers' not turning up to collect it - he just wanted it out of the way! :D

I think there are a lot of these on the market. A lot more than there are buyers for them. Pretty much where the 40 was a number of years ago.
Owners looking to offload them as soon as the inevitable issues strike.
The S/C models are of course in a different category. The fastest version of any car is always the most sought after.

Anyhow, a new Jag advertnure. Can you handle two at once then Mike.

I think so! I did have an X Type until a few months ago so had two then ;)
Got it from near you, just the other side of Spalding, had a nice uneventful drive back, just got to have a look at those ABS sensors now.

Good stuff. No dramas then at least!
Check all the sensors for continuity/ dirt in the ends. Sensors, module or pump? Only so many things it can be?

Will do.
He said it had been stood for a couple of months, was fine before, so can't be anything to bad (I hope!), like you say perhaps just dirt with it standing so long.

The ABS issue may well have been why the car was left unusual though. Often as soon as problems hit, thats when people want to sell up of course.

Guess I'll find out when I get a chance to look at it.
Can't say not having the ABS working bothers me too much but I guess I'll have to get it sorted ready for when it needs MOTing! ;)
