From what I understand the pre-05MY facelift cars get problems with the wiring going rusty across the front behind the bumper and this can give lots of seemingly unrelated issues with the sensors on various systems this may well include the ABS.
But it is perhaps more likely to be a sensor.

I love my Stype... I have a check engine light on though - apparently it might be a problem with the inlet manifold gasket too much air getting in!
It still goes well

S-Type flew through its retest :D
All it needed was a wheel nut!!!
And the NS beam adjusting.
Good for another year but with a failing catalyst- source of engine warning light- creaky suspension and a bulging radiator... this will probably be her last :(
Not bad for the price ;)

Not worth spending money on then?
These are at the same place 40s were not all that long ago. Getting binned as soon as they needed anything more than a bulb?

Well, it didn't need any bulbs but that pretty much sums it up...

Surely that qualifies as “The Shadow Mk2”?
They look good on black. The colour can really make or break these I think.

I don't think big bills should be scary if the end result is something you like. The other cars all have the same problems after all, exisiting or looming, so better to sort out a car you like.
