No it's always been in the UK, midlands area. just been hidden away for about 11 years. I bought a restoration business that went bump. I only have a few cars left now other than the ones I'm keeping. Still got a Daimler 2 door coupe, a Pre HE XJ-S and a Daimler Sovereign 2.8.
We'll see what happens with the sale, I may try ebay first but it needs to go to s a classic sale really.

That's awesome, one for the fantasy garage (parked next to the XJ220).

yeh, proper dream world stuff. somehow i just imagine that V12 going into meltdown with that much heat pumping out :? would be a fun 10 minutes though before it does.

they are making out its faster than an XJ220 though, which hard to fathom?

It's hard to imagine it being quicker than an XJ220, which was designed from the ground up to be a 200mph supercar. I guess the Lister could have more power, can't imagine it being that reliable though as you say, and the handling and aerodynamics won't be as good. Still, has that eighties-tastic look, bet it sounds good too.

It does!!

We ran across a red Lister Le Mans during our "Hannibal 2.0" (conquering the Alps with something quicker than a pachiderm) summer holiday a few years ago.
It was driving in front of us on an alpine pass hillclimb: a soundtrack I'll never forget...

We were in a seriously Boyanised open roadster (https://www.flickr.com/photos/pimgmx/8160561178) and the Lister blotted out our engine roar completely. :o

Even the 0-100mph range, i would have thought the XJ220 would be faster. But that would be a hell of a race?
I think doing 200mph is less relevant, except on paper, just to say it "can do it". but the grunt from 0-100mph is much more relevant for road driving.

YES :D But torque is more important than hp.
There must be power at low rpm better than turning the engine like an airplane.
The supercharged X300/8 are not bad but it could be better still.

I would prefer a 7.0 Lister V12 ;)
