Impressive progress, Wilfred!

What will be the end game? A full respray?

A respray is too expensive. I want to try this:

It's a paintjob, usings a paint roller and some rustoleum with this as result:

I think I should be able to make it look good at affordable price.

so, the passenger side of the car is solid again!

now it's up to the driverside. Problem points: bottom area of the A and C column.

And I removed the airco radiator. I don't like it, was leaking and I could use the room for alternative fans (originals are broken and I dont like em.

Hi all,

just came by to say hello again. This thread is not dead, but just waiting....

I bought a house, about a year ago. Or well, more like a ruin. And now I am restoring it. it has a HUGE workshop, all for myself. (120 square meters, and high enough for a full size car lift :-).

And the first baby is due, half september.

But after that, possibly next spring, the XJ6 will roar back into life! In fact, I am dying to continu work on the XJ6 but for now the house goes first. At leas the jag has a nice, dry spot at my own place now.. :D

summer 2018 would be my bet (so fall 2018 is what it's gonna be :D )

On the bright side. Yesterday I put a battery in it, cranked it for only 2-3 seconds when it already came alive after standing still for more than a year! God I can't wait to drive the jag again! (oh, and I put some air in the tire!)

Yes, I am so happy with it. The new house came with a ton of work, but the workshop is a major bonus!

To be honest, what you see is only half the workshop. And than I have three garageboxes...I feel lucky, but than again I spent years wrenching outside in parking lots and among cattle so I kinda felt I deserved it.... :D
