What was its last parking spot before it entered your workshop?
A lake?

A lot of XJS hide this under front wings :)
Have to say, even mine was nowhere near that bad.

Another week has - almost - passed...

The paint has cured and the car's been moved from the paint booth to another station for the final chapter at this workshop: refitting.

The brand new headlining had just been fitted when I visited, the chap in charge of my project was chemically cleaning the sunvisors, to ensure they wouldn't stain the new headlining fabric when fitted. Attention to detail, or what?

Look closely at some of the pictures and you will see pieces of the old, yellowish, disintegrated headlining insulation on the workshop floor...

Originally delivered to Texas; its first owner took it with him to Japan in 1992 or thereabouts iirc.

Texas !

I hope it’s not equipped with air injection, EGR and other systems mainly delivered to US of A !

I can see you haven’t detailed the engine bay yet ;)
