AJ6 claims ~10% performance gain, including their uprated ECU.
That's roughly in line with the increase I got modifying the pocket rocket's intake system...
(gain on the BMW is higher because the M52B28 intake manifold was designed with built-in restrictions)

Combined with the center exhaust replacements a 40-ish bhp increase shouldn't be unrealistic.

I'll take it out to Zandvoort circuit and/or the Nordschleife after all the mods to test it in the flesh.

Perhaps a rolling road visit to a chap in the neighbouring village to get 'official' numbers...
Still have to do that for the pocket rocket, I could try and negotiate a multicar discount? :? :D

Good plan.
Lets hope that not too many horses escaped before the upgrades too. Its always a bit of an unknown with an old engine?

Certainly is.
Already OK for me when the dyno confirms it has the factory horses & torque AFTER the upgrades, everything more is welcome of course! ;)

Replacement headlining made it safely across the Channel...

Big-bore throttle bodies thoroughly cleaned, new gaskets, springs etc ordered @ JCP...
Slow but steady! ;)

Looks good, Pim

I need to do something about mine as well...

Here you go: http://equinoxproducts.co.uk/headlinerw ... duct_id=52

leo_denmark wrote:Will it hurt my wallet badly ?

GBP 130 for the headlining + sufficient fabric to re-do the A-pillar and quarterlight covers.
GBP 240 for a full set: headlining + 2 A-pillar covers + 2 quarterlight covers

Shipping costs are substantial at GBP 90. But look at the parcel size in my pic (those stone tiles are 40X40cm) and even that is quite reasonable, I think?

Thanks

That is not too bad, and I agree about the shipping: It will have to cost a bit to have such a box delivered.

Now I will let you do the installation of yours before I order. Did you go for the full kit ?
I need to do pillars and quarterlights as well, but I fear that exchange parts might not fit.
The question is if the parts in early cars are made to drawing or to fit the car. My car is produced well before John Egan took over the workshop...
