Hello Dave, I'm considering taking on a project. Any ideas for good spares places over in the U.K. I'd like to study things first.
Thanks

Its a bit like an XJS, it will have all the same rust and issues and parts availability is similar. You could have a look at my XJS thread although mine is rather extreme rebuild case :)

If you go for S2, consider something like this:

Image
1997, 4.0 LWB X300 - Unlucky car but still a daily driver.
1988, 3.6S XJS - Never ending restoration project.
1994, 3.2S X300 - Accident damaged, October 2015. Gone!
1994, 3.2S XJ40 - Long gone.

Funny thing there is a couple of old dodders in that car

I must admit, very subtle and love those turbine wheels. I like it. 8-)

Hi

When I was running them there used to be loads of them in the scrap yards to pick parts off. I don't think many people specialised in XJ6 models but now they are thinner on the ground they could start. Most of the running gear will be no problem as it used on other models but trim & panels may be. A few company's list panels & repair panel but until you ask you cannot be sure that they actually have them in stock. A bit like XJ40 parts

SC parts group ,SNG Barratts David Manners Martin Robeys all list panels

4.0L Daimler 1992
