Hi guys,

In order to avoid starting a new topic for this tiny question, I'm 'reviving' this one :D

So basically I am in the process of changing all speakers. Managed to change the 4 rear speakers without any issues, with the help of a few helpful YouTube videos.

But when following the same process for the front doors (plus the screw under the rounded rubber thingy) I got stuck because of this little plug that I simply cannot manage to remove. I tried prying it out gently (and not so gentry) but didn't manage. And for that reason I couldn't continue removing the door card to change the front speakers.

Can anyone please explain how to remove this plug? Thanks x1000

hello, you have to pry this plug out gently with a screwdriver or similar tool, I did so.

There are trim removal tools out there if you are struggling. Ideally the piece should be levered out from both sides to avoid any trim damage.
Levering from behind the trim, as I do t think there’s space directly under the fixing?

when removing this plug, it can be easier to gently pull the panel away after removing all other fixings, and using a suitable tool lever the push fit clip from behind the panel so not to damage anything on the surface etc,

gently does it

Thanks. I actually tried prying pretty hard, and even pulling the panel after removing all other fittings, but alas no luck. Will return this weekend though for round 2, this time with more (better) tools. Maybe wedging in the back of a hammer and prying’ll to the trick.
