New Differential but output shaft leaking.

Postby darrenwgaransi+ » Mon Jul 09, 2018 11:40 pm

I had the differential replaced at a considerable expense. A week later, I found out the driver's side output shaft had a slight leak so I took it back to the mechanic. They ordered an output shaft stub-cost was honored by Jagbits. I had to pay for the labor. Well the replacement output shaft is also leaking. I don't get it. The car has to go back in again. What are the chances that Jagbits provided two defective output shaft assemblies with this differential? Is it possible that the synthetic gear oil is too light?

It’s worth finding out which oil they have used?

It’s always possible to have new parts fail though too. Are these new parts genuine or aftermarket?

I'm not sure if they are OEM or aftermarket. They came from Jagbits. I have the car scheduled to be looked at on Monday.

Well the car is still being repaired. The mechanic is waiting for the third replacement output shaft assembly to arrive from Jagbits.
