What ATF fluid

Postby Jaguarxj40 » Mon Oct 23, 2017 11:48 pm

I need to change the ATF in my gearbox and refresh fluid in the power steering and it looks like dextron 11 or 111 seems to have been superseded, what should I be buying.

Seen this, Comma-ATM5L-Automatic-Transmission-Fluid which is mineral or Comma AQ35L 5L AQ3 Automatic Transmission Fluid which is semi synthetic can I use either of these, or should I track down some dextron or are there any recommendations please.

Gary.

Who is saying Dexron II is NLA?
It’s readily available in my area, and lots of places online.

Before you ask, I have no idea on the technical differences between the different spec ATF. But it’s best to use the recommended grade, since it’s readily available.

Stay as close to the recommended spec as possible: Dexron IID or any of its successors.
Other fluids COULD have a negative impact on the friction material inside the 'box...

Oh, when I checked euro car parts that didn't come up :o

Was a little concerned about the newer blends as thoughts were they may not be compatible, maybe my inter web searching skills need some work.

Thanks for the info chaps.
