Hi from Denmark. Daimler DS Majestic Insignia '94

Postby ulrik » Wed Mar 13, 2019 8:06 pm

Hi all

Just a little hello from Denmark where I have just bought this fabulous car. 79.000 kms from new and almost as new inside out.

It was sold originally to Germany. Colour is BRG and inside Magnolia

Looking forward to reading mails and get to know some other enthusiasts

Cheers from Denmark
Ulrik

A triple unicorn! :D
(V12, Majestic, Insignia)

Welcome on board, Ulrik, and congratulations with your purchase!
The single picture (don't keep us waiting: where are the others? ;) ) suggests your car is in good condition cosmetically, and spent part of its life in Sweden?

I can spot the Insignia badge on the front wing, and got curious: with 'regular' paint colour (BRG?) and wheels, what Insignia options were applied to this car? Does it feature the Insignia interior?

Best wishes from an ex-serial Insignia owner in the Low Lands,
Pim

Thank you very much Pim

I promise to take more pictures when it gets out storage. I did not take any pictures inside on the night I drove it home from Sweden.

I have asked Rob on a mail if he would be so kind as to check the Insignia specs. But I assume that the interior (the fat very thick leather) is Insignia. I don't know about the wood. The wood is very nice but not in any psychedelic colour :-) - but the heritage certificate also shows the it is an Insignia.

It's a German spec car. Almost like new. 79.000 km. And I bought it from a friend in Sweden that only drove it 600 km in 5 years :-)

As soon as the weather gets nice again it will go for an MOT and have Danish plates on (after paying a ridiculous tax)

I read elsewhere in this forum that not more than app 10 cars was made i LHD configured like mine. Does anybody have the valid number?

Cheers from Denmark
Ulrik

What an incredible machine, really pleased to see it looking so well, seems to have lived an easy life so far. Have you got to do much to it?
