They have got the shape right on the door pillar and sill end, though that isn't finished yet of course. The wing now seems to fit better than it did originally and it is possible the shut lines could actually improve on the front of the car. The XJ40 never had the razor shutlines of a Lexus or of modern cars.

I am a bit concerned as to what will be discovered inside the bulkhead cavity though. I pressed my finger into the hole on the picture, then removed the grommet from the front of the bulkhead and pressed on the metal 'floor' to the compartment and my finger went through it!

Your welding is pretty good these days Naki. ;)

You must be pleased with how it's progressing David, the quality of the work looks high to me. I hope you don't find too many nasty surprises!

Very nice looking repairs there David , there's obviously some skilled metal folding going on there and it really makes the repair look 'invisible' , the welding is nice and neat too , all in all worth the cost , let's hope they can do a similar repair to that scuttle area , i'm sure they will and you'll be pleased you got it done .
I can imagine how devoted you'll be to the Dinitrol waxes when you eventually get her home , just in time for summer and a show maybe ;)

I don't think I will stop Dinitrolling 'till there's so much Dinitrol on it looks like a lump of coal with wheels!

I'm pleased with how it is going so far. I will go down and have a look at it again, perhaps on Saturday morning.
