That's a bit like the term "police intelligence" - a contradiction?

well done on the dash pod. not heard of anyone else on this forum actually soldering one yet. so that is all it takes to get them working reliably again then? and not failing other components? good news for 3.6/2.9 owners i reckon, as the prices for working used digi dashes have shot up this past year.

will you paint the bonnet and front spoiler yourself then? It will transform the look of the car once those are done

Only with a rattle can for now. Once the car is perfect mechanically, it will be going to the bodyshop to get done properly.

Spent a bit of time trying to sort out the ABS fault. Thought it might have been the over voltage relay so took that into work last night and re-soldered. The fuse inside also seemed to be okay. No luck. The light is still on. Going to try and get a replacement relay before I start going round and testing each wheel sensor.

might be the abs ecu too. seen as you are keen with the soldering iron, might help to give that a going over too, or swap it out.
so how did it pass the mot with the abs fault? :o ok, you dont really need to answer that, just makes me grin to myself.

did you put up any interior pics yet? i see you have a wood steering wheel?

Yeah, best not ask those questions.

For reference later, where is the ABS ECU located.

Just been out there just now to solve the circuit 1 failure. I only just realised after uploading the picture that the "|" is in fact a 1. Managed to find the blown fuse and now that is gone. Also realised why the digital speedo wasn't showing up. Turns out that there is a switch on the trip computer to go from kph to mph. In mph, the digital speedo is off, in kph it comes on in, what do you know, kph.

Would be nice to get the digi dash showing no failures at all. Don't think I have ever seen that before.
How about low coolant and low brake pressure warnings?

Not sure about 3.6 cars but on 90-92MY the abs ecu is in the boot behind the RH side side wall carpet, nearly the aerial motor
