That rattle is probably caused by the secondary chain tensioner being not used for so long. I assume its the same for all aj6 and aj16 engines so easy to swap and the later type tensioner is a better design too so worth swapping for sure. Its fairly cheap part too.

i had a nice little visits from this beasty yesterday. have to say i was surprised how impressive it was. maybe next time i can have a drive too! wish i had bought it now :? Needs some work and tidying, as usual, but overall i thought its was a great looking car. it has had paint before (good thing!!- as one less thing to do) and two new front wings before. but needs bonnet/ bootlid, and front bumper paint obviously. interior- new headliner and drivers sill carpet (try finding a blue one!), new ski slope. all the usual stuff, but solid looking overall, and i like the wheels in the flesh, on this car.

I like the little extras such as the steering wheel, B pillar badges and the nomenclatures around the engine bay. Lovely car but not for me I'm afraid. You know my target Naki Myzon

That must go like a rocket. How many horses there then? The engine bay looks a bit packed and plenty of wear and tear too. Are there any other extras apart for the engine mods? Wouldn't it be wiser to fit them on another 40? Still a great project ;)

very nice yes ! i like it you didn't see what sort of injectors it is running naki ? does it have 12 or only 6 of them and what part number also would be interested to know ! also ecu mods or is it just standard sov one? as the rest can be easily modified ....then would it be running standard exhaust or not suspension must have uprated breaking system to i guess....
but it is a model definitely worth having!

Maybe Darcy can come on and confirm the details?
the has just changed the injectors, but not sure details. mentioned somewhere back in the thread i think?
remember this is was a original 3.6 XJR, then converted by Janspeed. so should be using a "Zytek" ECU.
