A small amount of WD40 carefully applied, solved the issue. Now the door opens perfectly.
The panels gaps on the veneer are way off though.
More fiddling with hinge adjustments....

Door trim fixed. Nice easy details.

Bonnet struts just unable to do their job.
Swapped out. Easy enough, now my head is safe from the Jaws of doom.

Missing chrome screw and washer for the nearside fusebox found under the carpet!
Now fitted.

The boot floor carpet has cleaned up nicely, though with one obvious issue.
I will have to see if the missus can get busy with the sewing machine. :?
That’s one machine I haven’t used since school.

Most likely too thick for a 'household' sewing machine?
Could be even quicker to do it the REAL old-fashioned way and stitch it manually?

Crickey, I didn’t think about thickness?
I can hand stitch a sock, but never tried a carpet.
I may ask the old man to look to try? He’s good with stitching.

Naki, get hold of a saddlers awl with waxed linen thread. Job do-able and satisfying but slow.

If your missus has a modern plastic sewing machine - like others have said - might be too much for it

If it happens to be an old school Singer, like I've permanently borrowed off of my Mum - you'll be fine

I just had to look up that tool. Look old pretty viscous.
Not sure if the holes it will make will be too big?

I think we have an old Singer machine too, but I thought it was “decorative” only, as I don’t think it’s ever been used? Maybe a good time to fire it up?

You can get one with a reel of thread which travels down a groove in the needle. The result is fabulous. The machine I am sure is much better.
