XJ40.com Main Meet 2018

Postby naki_k » Sun Sep 10, 2017 3:35 pm

Not sure about anyone else, but outside today feels like summer/ classic season is over.
Which naturally brings thoughts to next season.

Now, I think forward planning is key for many on here with busy schedules/ demanding families, and especially our overseas members who I know really appreciate advance notice to make travel plans.

So, anyone who has a proposal for next years main meet, please put it forward when you are ready.

Where possible, try to consider an evening/ pub gathering, as this makes it more worthwhile for anyone travelling great distances, and for everyone who likes a good night, as well as a good day! Adding an evening gathering almost certainly bolsters numbers of owners wishing to attend, and makes any event that bit more special.

I expect Don already has plans for the regular North Wales crew, but let's who else has a proposal too?

I saw something mentioned on another thread about the RR factory.

Might be a good venue, plenty of hotels in that area, we might be able to make it a weekend job again. Find a decent hotel, stop there, scenic run that includes half a day at RR factory and an overnight at the hotel.

We're early enough to plan it still...
Regards, Carl

Ah yes, that was my suggestion after seeing those inspirational pictures by Gary. I forgot already :?
Its certainly a unique location. We need Gary's blessing of course, plus the big wigs at RR.
Everyone will have to one on their best behaviour!

Or a visit to the new Jaguar restoration facility at Browns Lane?

Might need to call on the good offices of RJ to swing that one.................

Another good suggestion.

I wonder if they do tours of the classic workshop?
