Cheers Carl - Will do.

Spoke with JR on the phone this evening - we have a GO to get this show on the road!

Been doing some digging and thinking and, if we want the organisers to take our application seriously, we need to present a professional look.

An anniversary or event is looked for by them to give interest to the punters as opposed to just having a few cars parked up. I have been checking the dates and it would appear (correct me if I am wrong) that 2018 is the 25th anniversary of the Sport, Majestic and XJ12 models. It is also damn close to being so for the Insignia too!!

Carl (Elsa-jag) has offered his Sport and Simon his XJ12 - Both immaculate examples and this, in my humble opinion, is the standard we need to get to.
I would LOVE to be able to display Pim and Cassandra's Insignia but, if that isnt possible, is there another on here that could step into the breech?
And as for the Majestic...........Offers invited!!
I have an idea to also have a 25 year old Daimler on the stand to highlight the differences - offers?

My intention is to make contact with persons who can possibly help us with background paraphernalia and display material at the Heritage Centre at Gaydon - will report back on the success or otherwise of this.

I need to get the form in to the Organiser soon - but I want to 'sleep' on the application to prepare it well. No idea on the size of floor area we are allowed yet - that may be buried in the application process, but if offers of suitable cars are there it will give me some ideas.

Look forward to hearing from you!!!!

Paul Keating and Rob Jenner have Majestics.
Maybe worth speaking to them.

So is it a definite then, if there’s no “special theme” for your stand, you don’t get selected?

Not definite...... but the application form requests that you write something about the 'theme'. So I am taking that to mean that they are expecting something other than just having cars parked in a line. I think if we can present a case for an 'anniversary' tied with ideas to present the cars well, then we may stand a chance of being selected.

As for Paul and Rob - yep, they had crossed my mind and I will be getting in touch with them both.

I dont see why not?
It is silver after all and we are celebrating 25 Years!!!

I have a few ideas knocking around as to how to display the cars - but that will depend upon the space available.
What I would like to see on the cars are plates like these - to give that feel of a Manufacturer Car Show.....

The NEC's close enough to the airport to consider a brief visit form the continent this year...

There's one dependency, though: the new project that we will start to work on from March onward. That may eat up more time & cash than we're able to predict now, we'll see... 8-)

And no, it's not a car for a change!

I quite like the theme of the 'new breed' brochure' it would work quite well as a pop up either side of each car on display and would give a space to advertise 25 years of the XXXX

Any progress on this?
I think if it’s going to happen, it will need sorting very soon to be in time.

Carl MT had picked up the baton on this one.

I've heard nothing, but the offer of help in anyway I can still stands.
