We have appr. 1000 km to Dover, so any UK location is a bit of a journey for us.
Could we do it in the Netherlands next year, then we all (except Pim and a few others) have some distance to go... :D

We are good at whining

Just a thought. A lot of the meets appear to be on Bank Holidays. I can see the advantages for some by this, but others may have family commitments due to it being a bank holiday??

Sundays and Bank Holidays are usually no-gos for me. Make it a Saturday and I'll travel there wherever it is (as long as it's in the UK mainland - sorry, I don't fancy driving it to Europe!)

If I could get mine working I’d be happy to do some wining (or beering) in Spain with Norman!

Just to throw my pennyworth in ...
Bank Holidays are usually already taken up with other events (even worse now as I've joined the Sealed Knot and have to go and wave my pike at the Royalist scum - battles every Bank Holiday, but it is good, knackering and painful fun and there's always a beer tent to recover in in the evening!).

Any 'normal' weekend would be better (although every fifth weekend I need to be within easy reach of Northampton in case disaster strikes at the Uni!)
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory!

At least that’s 2026 taken care of! We’ll have to get something underway for 2020 though!
