Door bin cloth wanted

Postby donkeyotty » Thu Jul 04, 2019 4:45 pm

My front door bins are lined with cloth which are a big grotty and now lift up when I hoover them so have obviously lost their adhesion. Does anyway have any off cuts/ small pieces of the correct cloth I could scrounge/buy/barter/swop a non essential organ for
Trim Colour is Doeskin AEE. Not sure what the cloth colour name is.
Thanks in advance,
Don.

the glue is perfect

however, the material is made of three ply , the outer finish material, sponge/foam middle and then onto backing material, its the foam that has disintegrated, just like the headlinings do

replacements are not available, so its a case of adapting some other material similar in finish ? and i think headlining material is too ' thick ' but may well work ??

let us know if you find anything

A silly idea... Wash carefully and glue on a foam material with spray glue . A bit of a handful most probably....

Don, I'm away on my jollies tomorrow but I have enough headlining material from myrtle for yours and my car. It's also Doeskin AEE and the material is intended to recover your sunvisors, this seems like a sod of a job to get tidy, so I have just bought some leather ones to go back in. The door pockets are unsighlty on the majority of these cars I've seen, collecting all the dross over the years and as you know the glue must pack in on them fairly universally.

I'll get the piece I have divvied up when I get home, just remind me of your address in a message ;)
