Yeah, that'd keep you busy!

Nice car once upon a time ...not crazy about the body kit though, especially the spoiler! The old Bentley was much more "Steedlike" imho 8-)

Motor looks like it's been somewhere very damp for a good long while.

If I had it, it'd take me a decade to sort it out!! :D

The New Avengers car was a standard XJ12C. It is a standard 1976 XJ12C with the 285bhp V12 that was originally used as a Jaguar test car.
It is not a Broadspeed car. The Broadspeed body kit was fitted for the TV show along with the wheels that are on spacers to fill the arches.
Apparently it was a pig to drive and at first the front wheels rubbed on the arches until bigger springs were fitted raising the front by a couple of inches! From what I was told there were also tyre ware issues as well, not to mention all the usual coupe water leaks!
It was last on the road in 1987!
But it looks good and is somewhat iconic.

Apparently it has been in storage for years where it was vandalised, does not mention that in the ad though.......

Yes indeed.
I think the front and back windows as well as the gauges were all smashed. There was also some damage to the seats and the central dashboard. I think they also used the inside as a toilet!

Looking at the photos there has been some work done, new screens and some interior cleaning with the carpets removed!

The question is how much would this car be worth if it was restored?
Well standard XJC’s in top condition sell for about £18 to £20 K.
But this car is different as it is the actual New Avengers car, so my guess would be fully restored this car could go for £30K!
A total full restoration will cost about £15 to £20K so a realistic selling price should be under £10K

I think this would be a perfect car for Ant Anstead and Philip Glenister if they ever do a 3rd series.
