It is unlikely that Jaguar will reproduce these as we have had very few enquiries. We would need to create a business case and demand is a major factor I am afraid.

they would need 30-40 enquires for this part a year to warrant remaking them apparently?

So last week I decided to change my cam cover gasket and tried to order 13 new rocker cover screws from JCP (the heads of mine were ugly; chewed up by the PO) and after sending my engine number got this reply from Glen -

Thanks for the information. Please see below for reference. You asked for 13 or each, screws and washers but the catalogue only specifies 7 of each.

Please advise:

I wrote back telling him i did need 13 of each as the online catalog may have an error as my 94 definitely has 13!

Not hearing anything further, I went ahead and sourced a set of allen head screws from a local supplier and I think they look pretty nice, so all's well that ends well I guess!!

these are good option too, what with them being the same as the OE, but Stainless instead, so even better ;)

I'm slightly amazed by how many screws the '94 cam cover has - my '93 only has 7 as well! There are quite a few changes to the cylinder head on the '94 MY, together with a new inlet manifold, of course.

Went outside to check on how many screws there are on Sovereign’s cam cover (too much free time on my hands, need to get a hobby) and found out that she is weeping (not leaking yet) from the half moon seals at the back of the cover.

Take the cover off and the half moons out and apply a thin coat of RTV to them before replacement. Voila!!!
