i asked JCP about new front wings, that have been NLA for ages.
here is the reply. good news i think.
note SNG barratt show wings on there website, but they are NOT available

Panelwork is very high on our agenda and we are putting together a business case for this at present. I cant comment on what and when but we are looking at the whole family of products.

Kind regards
Glen

I admire your optimism Naki , but , when we've waited as long as we have for an essential part like the left hand rear exhaust box i frankly have given up all hope of any of these parts ever seeing the light of day , it does not take this long to order the re-manufacture of a simple rear exhaust box , it takes the will to make it happen which is sadly lacking :(

That mild steel one you replaced must have been a replacement , as far as i know all jag exhausts were stainless , maybe not the finest 18-8 but good enough to last twenty years , this is a right hand one i fitted , would have been nice to fit a pair ,

its one email del, no big deal. so hardly putting myself out.
all am trying to do is show that there are owners out there who need parts. if no one tells them, how will they know?
i doubt more than 5% of people who click though the website and then see the "contact us" button, ever click it and request the part. this is the only way JCP can gauge some kind of demand, and put forward a "business case" for having a part remade. might be futile i dont know, but they have reacted positively so some requests and feedback at least.

thing is right now, if you dont mind having a used part and are patient enough, you usually can find most things given enough time. but parts like front wings will only get harder, so its time to get the ball rolling.

You're right. In the short time I've had my '40 there's been plenty of things I'd have liked to have ordered but as soon as I see "contact us" I've gone off to other suppliers.
I'll change tack from now on.

It is always worth an email to jcp directly, if it's a part you really want. The website stock list is not definite IMO. There have been a couple of times a part has not shown online, but is in fact available.
Sometimes due to supersession part numbers not being updated.

Its worth requesting them through the JCP site, as that way they can gauge demand, and perhaps make some new stock one day!

Be aware that other suppliers take your order then go to JCP. So if say SNG list a part they can only supply it from JCP.

Having met Maurice from JCP he tells me they have a lot of the original tooling to get parts made. So do let them know what you need!
